Melodious Mausam

Wow... what a lovely weather today. Its raining continuously since last night.
I really love such kind of rain, smooth and silky, not too much noisy not too much silent, nor heavy neither light, just pouring with a serene melody which make me sing with its beauty.

I'm sitting beside my window, though its a little bit chill in the air but its so lovely to feel the cool breeze as it is the part of the beautiful weather package. Chirping birds, moving here and there, around the tree in front of my window. No mess of water on street only a wet land and a grey color sky. Its all so pleasant to watch and feel.

Oh, here comes the delicious treat, Daddy just brought yummy garma garam Samosas + I've a mug of coffee in my one hand which gives a mouth watering aspect to my favourite weather and my post too :p
Yuuhooo, I'm done with one samosa and my coffee so now i can type more faster than before as those hot deals were distracting me so i thought its better to take a snacky break first :)

Ok, yep so i was talking about the beauty of nature which always attract me a lot and whenever I'm in full mood to enjoy it, i just wish to save each and every moment of it in my memory.
Rainbows are the rarest scene to have in Karachi but i remember i saw once, a very light toned rainbow a few years back. i don't remember the exact date but do remember how surprising it was because that was my first experience with the colored band of sky and it was almost invisible also.
Light is fading now, I'm still beside my window, watching, inhaling, listening, feeling and trying to type my thoughts in the best of words i can find for them.

I want to share here a video which can define the thought and music inside me.
Its Kiss the Rain, Piano melody with a slideshow of real nice rain shots. I found it on YouTube months ago and posted it on my facebook account for my friends. now i'm sharing it here again.
Hope you will like it too.

Eid Tale

After three busy + fun filled eid days i opened my eyes today, when i heard my mother calling me to wake up as i'd taken enough rest and slept alot bcz its about after noon and Jumma prayers were round the corner. So, quickly pushing my blanket, finding my glasses and yawning i was out of my bed to start my day. Life is going back to the same boring routine but this time i have some memorable moments to share.
Well, i admit that i take very long gaps for blogging mostly due to my one and only basic reason "Laziness". I'm lazy, very lazy, hmmm actually i'm just 10 times more than Very Lazy but this time i managed to create some more reasons apart from my signature one :p

During end of November i was studying hard as i'd my aptitude test and after that i was reading books online and they were really gr8, one after another didn't left me enough time + mood to create any post and then Eid arrived, so see i've good excuses. :D

I had a fabulous and memorable eid.
Fabulous in the sense that i enjoyed it alot with my family, friends and my cute cute little cousins. Almost my every eid is colorful due to them.
Kids tells us the true meaning of happiness on our traditional days and provide us a chance to enjoy the occasions with smiling faces. Actually, including me we are only 6 cousins with the same age group in our family, and the rest is the Bacha Party aging from 10 yr to 1 month old a total of 19... phew, and we call it 'Hajoom' :p
We get together @ our Grandma's every eid night and this hajoom keep us busy with their colors. The bacha party is always so enthusiastic, showing their cute dresses, bangels, mehndi, clips and ponies, sunglasses and wrist watches, purses and bags, eidi collection or telling the stories of bakras and cows, they have a world of rainbows. Its a kind of Hungama we have, making fun of their acts, playing, controlling and talking with them keep us busy all night.
Literally, i was in a very bad sad mood before the dawn of eid, but then i forgot all my tensions and those little smiles sparkle my mood with stars.

Now, the memorable part:
On 3rd day of eid, i first time witnessed Camel Slaughter. I always wanted to experience it Live but never got the chance. Yesterday when we visited our aunt's home, i saw two camels in their lane which were going to slaughter around noon and me and my sis's excitement was meeting the sky. We anxiously waited for the moment and than finally it arrived. We stand behind the main gate to watch but due to increasing crowd it become impossible to see, so we stepped out of the house, searched a proper place to stand, crossed the lane, jump on to a high slab, in front of one of the house and stand their to experience our dearest wish from a height.
Butchers prepared the animal for the Holy custom by fasten its mouth and one leg with rope and stand it towards the direction of Kaaba and hit its throat with a hunting knife (or u can call it Khanjar) while reciting the Qurbani Dua and Allah-Ho-Akbar, this procedure is called ' Nehar karna', and than camel sat down itself slowly due to the blood loss and when their is no sign of life left in it, its ready to cut. Camel's slaughter is different due to this procedure because it is a big animal to handle and that's why it is stab into the throat and then cut down. And a very few people choose camel for Eid-ul-Azha in Pakistan as its not so affordable + people rarely eat its meat here.

All in all, this eid left me with good memory to share :)
Oh, and by the way A very Happy EID Mubarak to all of my readers and thanks for your visits and wishes.

Ciao

Climatic Karachi.

While its chilling all over the country, Karachiites still can't decide whether to switch off fans or not!

Temperature in Karachi varies alot, not within a month or a week but within a day.
and most of the times situation becomes quite funny. Its more effective during So-Called winters in Khi rather than in summer because in summer like every other city it is hot here too but in winters its not so cold.

Funny in the sense that if you wake up in the morning & find its chilling than you have to Decide first whether to wear cardigan or sweater while going to work or not and if you do than its your luck that till 5 o clock or even till noon the weather remains the same.
Otherwise you have to carry your Extra clothing with you the whole day.

I remember, last year in late November, it was quite hot here, i mean not like summer but not like winter also :p, and suddenly near noon it started raining and when it stopped, we were shivering due to cold breeze and our thin lawn clothing. we rushed towards our home quickly but sadly my friend caught fever because it was freezing and we had nothing to protect us.
That night Karachiites finally unwrapped their blankets to welcome the season and started their next day wearing warm garments but the climate here loves to play hide n seek with a twist, so it becomes hot and perspiring only after a couple of hours that we had to through our cardigans aside and started cursing the moment when we thought its winter here :$

This all happens mainly due to the humidity factor in our air. But it is helpful also. like in summers, when its too much hot all over the country even after sunset with alot of hubs, my city is so sweet with sweat but not with killing temperature. only three to five days during the whole season are with their extreme, no air, hubs or with hot air and hot nights otherwise the temperature is quite pleasant with light breeze during the day and after sunset too.
so all in all due to humidity and friendly sea, summers are not killing ones here and worth enjoying.

on the other hand when its comes to winter, almost all season we remain confuse. If their are five divisions of a day (Prayer Times Division) than the climate here will change its face five times a day. and sometimes it irritates alot.

Like this month, unexpectedly air becomes cool here before time, in early November and due to which citizens here including me are suffering from flu, nausea, cough, fever and headache from the very first day. and like always its still hide and seek here which effects alot. True winter time here is late December and before it there's always a intermediate situation.

Before going to work everyday, people here, standing in front of their wardrobes don't decide what style or colour they r going to wear, instead they look outside the window + at wall clock again and again and than decide what Type of clothing they dare to wear :p :D

Hmmm i think this weather update must halt here because I'm feeling my shawl very suffocating now and while i switch on my fan and enjoy the up down temperature, you collect your words and leave me a cooooool comment :)

Tumhara aur Mera Naam

a very beautiful song, sung by Junaid Jamshed.

its what i feel right now & wants to say.
its a request and a desire
a longing and a need
and a wish for a hope!

Goonjta Sanata !

bazahir khamosh hon main lekin
ek sanata sa chaya hy mere wajood per
sanata be-zaban nahi hota

us khamosh ahsas ko bhulana chahti hon

khud ko ek bar phir se main pana chati hon
es goonjte sanate ko dafnana chahti hon ...!

Jhapatna Palatna, Palat kar Jhapatna...!

Jhapatna palatna, palat kar jhapatna
Laho garam rakhne ka bahana hai yeh

its a stanza, poet Iqbal. hmmm i don't remember its 2nd line properly, hope i typed it rite... anyways, this stanza is commonly used for PAF & its fighters and based upon the natural habit of eagles, falcons and hawks of how they hunt and fly.
we see fighter planes in movies showing this behaviour of hawks during war scenes and Iqbal's that stanza perfectly describe it. but have u ever seen eagles or hawks flying, fighting or hunting in that way.
i saw it all yesterday and it was so lovely.
Last eve, before Maghrib prayers, i was sitting at my home's roof top. the house located at right front of us have mobile tower (signals tower or boaster) at their roof top. and at the top most of that tower there is a nest of an eagle, which is made only a few days ago. as it was about to sun set, the both parent eagles were present there. i noticed them when they suddenly start making strange noises. actually unexpectedly a kite drop nearby their nest and hanged in one of the step of that iron made tower. for eagles it was obviously a strange object trying to destroy their nest so both the parents start making noise and calling their friends for help. meanwhile due to the blowing wind, kite begins to move here and their and was achieving a little bit flight also due to its string, so the situation becomes more complicated. all of a sudden other fellow eagles were also gathered there, were flying like fighter jets above the tower but none of them came near the kite or try to destroy it except the parent eagles. in comparison one of the parent eagle, i guess it was mother (mothers r more sensitive for kids :p) making more noise and trying to kill her enemy again and again and here the scene begins...

To Snap, Repel, Attack, to Overturn and Again make a Sudden Attack...

both eagles were also frightened due the movements of kite but also defending themselves and trying to hit it through their wings. it was a full action scene, very energetic, very graceful and very glorious.
they cry, fly, make an angle, stretch their wings and attack. and every time due to the wind kite changes it position... atlast after a struggle of approx ten minutes they finally made it and tore the kite into pieces and protect their home bravely.

while watching this scenario i became so excited and my lips uttered Iqbal's that stanza spontaneously and i experienced the actual meaning and soul of it beautifully.

Scattered Thoughts

my mind is wandering here & there,
i want to focus, but at what, i'm unaware.

bewilderment causing me alot of trouble,
i'm flowing through time like a bubble.

i want to express the inner side of me,
the moments of sorrow & those of glee.

tales to tell, stories to share,
waiting for words, feelings to wear.

untuned melodies, echoing sounds
needs a theme for a spiritual bound.

I Miss The Feel I Felt...!

I miss the feel of freshness. The feel of divine serenity, calmness & purity.
I feel this beauty evry year ... bt i still miss it. as i've 2 w8 for a whole yr to get that sense again...
I felt it from the vry 1st day till the vry last moment... it stays with me the whole month...
it remains in me like a soothing hand, heeling evry wound, taking care of evry emotion & thought, pushing me up, making me determined & punctual, checking my evry act & peace out my self so nicely that i really don't want to let that spirit go...
It felt Socially
It felt Physically
It felt Mentally
It felt Spiritually
It felt Deeply.....

Well, the "Feel" i'm talking about is the feeling of Devotion. It connected me with my Creator.
it urges me to think, concentrate, observe, believe & to worship.

* I prayed
* I thanked
* I sorry
* I regretted
* I cried
* I requested
* I wished
* I asked
I did it all with a pure heart. with a sure belief that my callings were listened & will b consider...

I spend my days in such a sacred atmosphere that i miss its fragrance deep inside...
I loved that tough buzy schedule...
* Those early morning wakeups
* Being punctual for evry prayer
* Taking care of evry little uttered word & act
* Attending Tafseer -e- Quran classes for the vry first time
* Getting amazed by the Miracles of Quran & its teachings
* Remain enchanted in its charm the whole long days
* Try to being as honest as i can

Ohh... i really miss that freshness
Ohh... i really miss that purity & calmness
Ohh... i realy miss that serene atmosphere
Ohh... i really miss that sweet breeze
Ohh... i'm truly missing that flavor of my beloved Ramazan!

My Heart Bleeds For My Country

Targeted Again

after a few smooth n serene days there is again an atmosphere here which deeply wounded our souls inside.
Islamabad ... blowed up again ... sorrows ... tears ... innocent people ... our people ... frustation ... depression ... our wrong impression!
who is killing who? no clue... no answer!

The Shameless Americans Attacks

All those innocent people who r in our northern areas facing the Shameless Americans Attacks in the name of so called war on terror. those poor people lifting their loved ones dead bodies daily just because they live near afghan border & can b killed anytime whenever US troops declare them militants; those little kids, helpless women & unarmed men r the victims who even don't know the location of US on the globe.

Our Sovereignty

Our Government alliance with US policies is setting ablaze our own homeland. If we r the biggest alliance to US than y we r the victims? y we r blamed for every other mishap in the world? being an ally our borders must b respected, r sovereignty must b valued & our dignity must b acknowledged just like US or any other ally nation. our Policy Makers hurtle us in this chasm & now we r left alone to suffer the war which is not our own & imposed on us. this alliance risked our own sovereignty.

my heart bleeds for my country where everyday i see people turning into figures. my heart bleeds for my country who's nation tough luck seems to have no halt. my heart bleeds for my homeland who's fate is decided by others, my heart bleeds for my people who r living on the edge & my heart bleeds for myself as i am also @ proximity.

I can only pray for all these people who laid there lives n their families who lost their loved ones.
May Allah keep all of us safe & sound & may we get rid of this situation as soon as possible.

Finally Blogging

To Blog or Not?

this query is in my mind since Jan 1.

blogging seems to b crazy for me when i was first encountered with it. i wonder y people blog online & tell everybody around the globe about their life, thoughts, likes, dislikes & even secrets. y don't they just buy a diary & write in it whatever they want! but then i realized that there are somethings in life that u can't keep to urself only. they hav to b jotted down anyway.
so, then i find blogging a big fun. i read only a few blogs(my Fav ones), all of them are of those people whom i don't know personaly but i love to read them. they r thoughtful, they r funny, they r interesting & they tell me abt the other side of the world.

For me, i wanted to write, i wanted to penned down all my thoughts whatevr came in my mind, but i was unable to give my thoughts their words. i was planning to hav a blog since the start of this yr bt don't know what to write, from where to start & how to narrate my feelings. alot of times i typed my post but deleted it and my wish to write & hav my own personel blog was still there!

Finally, a few days ago while i was reading Life A La Shahnaz, i got a clue that y not i start writing about my childhood & then gradually proceed towards my now-a-days world of thoughts.

So, dear folks i'm here now with me, myself & I.
If u gonna ask me now TO Blog Or NOT?
"TO BLOG" will b my straight answer :)
